An outline of Dell KB212 vs Dell KB522 USB keyboards. Both keyboards are quite similar in overall appearance, both having the same kind of dell logo in the right hand corner.
The Dell KB522 and Dell KB212 are both nice USB Keyboards that are light weight. Both keyboards have proven to be popular over the years and continue to work out used. The KB522 has shown to be the more deluxe model, offering multi-media support and a palm rest.
Both models are standard English keyboards and have nice kick stands. Although made by Dell they are compatible with any brand Desktop or Laptop with standard USB input. They look good and work good with Dell OptiPlex desktop models for uses such as programming, gaming, or production environment such as in a factory.
Dell KB522
The KB522 offers multimedia support, has a 2 port USB hub for convenience, and has a more commonly seen palm rest. Part numbers for these keyboards are 01RW52. Multi-media features include a volume knob, zoom in and out buttons and a sleep button.
Dell KB212
The KB212 is the KB522 without multi media functionality or a USB hub. These keyboards do have slots for a palm rest but it is in-fact different than that of the KB522. I have not seen a palm rest for the KB212 in all my time selling keyboards online.
